GUNFORM INTERNATIONAL (IOM) LIMITED is a specialist contractor involved in structural repairs, strengthening and concrete repairs. Together with our parent company - Gunform International Ltd. - we have provided specialist expertise worldwide for over 35 years in sprayed concrete applications, concrete repairs, pressure grouting, grit blasting and high pressure cleaning.Gunform are founder members of the Sprayed Concrete Association, ISO9001:2015 accredited, and also hold Safecontractor/Constructionline/Builder's Profile/RISQS accreditations.
GUNFORM INTERNATIONAL (IOM) is well established on the Island, and is a registered Isle of Man company, with our office based in Ramsey. This enables our management to assess works and offer a repair package within a very short time period.
We have recently completed extensive sprayed concrete repairs for the Department of Infrastructure at Laxey Breakwater, Ramsey South Pier, North Shore Road Harbour Retaining Wall and Douglas Promenade.
Gunform also work with utilities companies, local contractors and members of the public.
Our site staff are trained and certified in numerous industry standards, e.g.
CSCS (100%); Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA) competency; CCNSG Safety Passport; IPAF Plant Driving; Network Rail Personal Track Safety (PTS); CITB Site Supervisor Safety Certificate; Confined Space Working; PASMA (Mobile Scaffolding).
The company's senior management and site supervisor are amongst the most experienced in our field of operations, with a full range of supervisory and safety qualifications, enabling Gunform to provide quality installations safely.
SPRAYED CONCRETE is a method of applying concrete that is generally self supporting without the need for formwork. Sprayed concrete is often referred to as Gunite (dry mix) or Shotcrete (wet mix).
Sprayed concrete is extremely versatile and is a free forming material that lends itself to many applications in the construction industry.
With the ever-increasing structural loadings, the technique has proven particularly suitable for the strengthening and lining of piers, bridges, tunnels, retaining walls and culverts.
